I wonder why
The day look same
Levitating leaves
They look perfect,
with the sun so high.

Except for one thing
Out of world, nothing but my mind
I lost it in a twirl.

I was in epiphany, the moment we spent
was ineffable.
Until it hit a blind spot
Before the lane ends in the dark.

Empty room…..
I can’t handle it alone
I am seeing things we did together
Our laughs and giggles
they’re still louder.

I am hearing the pictures
Hanging in the walls,
We put together, don’t want them to be
Just memories.

Echoing voices making me crazy
I want you to open the door
One more time, another chance.

I am so afraid to love another.
They won’t be same as the days
We spend together
Moments we held forever
